537 million stems of Fairtrade flowers were sold globally in 2012, representing an increase of 48 percent. This creates unprecedented benefits for flower pro ducers and farm labourers working on certified farms mostly in East Africa and Ecuador. In 2012, global sales generated a total Fairtrade sales revenue of 43 million euros. Over 50,000 flower workers, as well as their families and communities, have bene fited from over 4.7 million euros in Fairtrade-premium.
