New Palestine claimed the top spot in the HHC standings with a 41-21 victory over Pendleton Heights, behind Luke Canfield’s 305-yard, fourtouchdown performance. The victory was New Palestine’s 100th HHC victory, a number that has included 30 straight wins since 2013. NP visits Greenfield-Central in this week’s Helmet matchup. New Castle continued to post big numbers in a 62-55 overtime win over Yorktown. QB Niah Williamson accounted for nine touchdowns in the Trojans’ victory, leading the Trojans on a late touchdown drive to tie the game. Luke Bumbalough had 200 receiving yards, Nicholas Grieser 117 and Triston Chesher 177 in the game. Reid Neil threw for 180 and ran for 188 for Yorktown. Shelbyville’s Landon Watson had a big day with a 383-yard, four-TD passing performance in the Golden Bears’ 41-14 victory at GreenfieldCentral. Watson completed 17-of-24 passes as Shelbyville scored 41 points in the first half. Mt. Vernon posted its first conference victory over the year, beating Delta 31-26. Tyson Harley threw for 244 yards and two TDs, with Braxton Trittipo reeling in 123 yards in the air. MV’s Kraig Hancock had four tackles for loss. Delta’s Zach Garner threw for 209 yards.



Players of the Week Offense: Landon Watson, Shelbyville Watson was 17-of-24 with 383 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also ran for 60 yards in the Golden Bears’ victory over Greenfield-Central Offense: Niah Williamson, New Castle Williamson led the Trojans back in the second half and completed 33 passes for 538 yards and seven TDs. He also ran for two scores in the Trojans’ 62-55 OT win over Yorktown. Defense: Landan Burton, New Palestine Burton had eight tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery in the Dragons’ 41-21 win over PH.
