Location Litchborough is a small picturesque village in rural Northamptonshire with many attractive properties sitting just 4 miles north west of Towcester. Despite the rural location the village is popular with commuters with Northampton 10 miles to the north east and Milton Keynes 20 miles south east. London is also accessible via main line train routes which is in close proximity. The village population is approximately 320. The property is within walking distance of all the village amenities, including the pub. It is located on the corner of Chapel Close with Towcester Road. The road frontage is approximately 14.50m (48 ft). The property is not listed but is in a conservation area. Description The property is of a classic chapel design of stone walls, shaped windows, balcony and with a slate roof. The church dates from 1862.There is a semi detached hall of brick construction to the side dating from 1920’s. Many original features are retained. The church has recently closed and is now available in anticipation that conversion for residential use is likely; planning permission will be required and will be the responsibility of the purchaser. To the front of the site is an open space that we understand had been the site of two cottages that were demolished in 1960’s. No surveys or ground reports are available from the vendor. It is not thought there are any burials on the land apart from a small garden of remembrance where ashes are buried. These will be relocated to the Church of England site in the village.
