For the week of March 12, 2017 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14 “The Gift of Tongues” – The Holy Spirit Part 6 1. In what ways have you experienced the power and presence of God in your life?

3. Describe a time when you were trying to speak with someone who spoke a different language than you. Was it funny? Frustrating? Humbling?
4. Have you ever heard someone speaking in tongues? What was your impression?
5. Why do you think 1 Corinthians is the only New Testament letter that addresses the gift of tongues?
6. Romans 8:26 states, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Do you think Paul is referring to a prayer language? Why or why not?
7. As we near the conclusion of this series on the Holy Spirit, do you have any beliefs about yourself or God’s power that could be limiting the Holy Spirit’s work in your life?
