6 Skill Adding fractions, finding equivalent fractions Materials □ 2 dice Players 2 Object of the Game To capture more squares.

How to Play 1. On your turn, roll the dice. Use one number rolled as the denominator of a fraction. Use the other number as the numerator. • A fraction equal to a whole number is not allowed. • If the two dice show the same number, roll again. 2. Initial sections of one or more squares to show your fraction. This claims the sections. • The fraction may be split between squares. • Equivalent fractions can be claimed. 3. If you cannot claim enough sections to show the fraction, no sections can be claimed. 4. You capture a square when you have claimed more than half of the square. 5. Blocking is allowed. For example, if Player 1 initials half of a square, Player 2 may initial the other half, so that no one can capture the square. 6. Play ends when no more squares can be captured. The player who captured more squares wins.
