Each Working For All - Friday 22nd January 2016 - Earth Water Fire Air Last Friday a group of children from the football club took part in the Premier League football tournament with Chelsea football club at Shenfield High School, although they didn't manage to get through to the next stage of the event, all boys played well and hopefully enjoyed the experience. Parents and carers from Olive Class came into the school this week over three consecutive days to take part in workshops about phonics learning and the set up in an early years classroom. It is always lovely to welcome parents and carers to the class, the children are so excited to show them around and to let them see what they do at school. Please can I ask all who attended to complete the questionnaire given on the day and return it to school. We are always trying to improve our workshops and your comments are appreciated. The school council children are meeting on a regular basis this term. One of the subjects will be to discuss the food and menus with Pabulum, the menus are changed termly and it is always lovely to hear the views of the children. Yesterday in Year 3 a Fireman came into Holly class to discuss the fire safety in the home. The children interacted with him well and enjoyed the session. It has been a very cold week, some children are still arriving into school without coats, where possible the children are encouraged to go outside during break and lunch for fresh air but will not be allowed outside without a coat. Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather. Just a reminder about the Willowbrook Forum which is due to start Tuesday 2nd February at 9am for approximately one hour. Please complete the form and return to the school office if you are planning to attend.
Have a lovely weekend.
