Responses to the above from Mrs Perry
On behalf of the School, its staff, children and Governor’s – Mrs Perry gave thanks to the whole of FOTMs and its supporters for their continual hard work in raising money for the school. Trips such as the National Gallery visit, the special 25 year bookmark and also the adventure playground project could not otherwise have been possible. FOTMs provides an excellent social committee which fully supports the school.

Funding Requests: Mrs Perry
As we all know schools are currently very strapped for cash. FOTMs kindly donates a ‘rolling’ amount each year to fund things such as new books (£3k), coaches (which subsidise the children’s trips considerably) £1k and IT (ipads/other). This can be discussed with the new Committee. Future projects: Mrs Perry/Diana Holmes (Parent Governor) are happy to hear from anybody how they feel the FOTMs money can be spent, all suggestions welcome! Mrs Perry suggested a few ideas as to how some money can be spent (FOTMs currently has approx. £7k): o Refurbishment of the Willow Dome (cost would be approx. £1500) o Professional drainage of the school field – currently the area is very boggy and muddy o Provide minibuses to the school sporting events to encourage the children’s enthusiasm and motivation at such occasions o Provide fresh toys/learning items for Early Years o Science/Astronomy – purchase telescopes and/or astronomy equipment for budding Astonomers o As the current theme is ‘Global’ maybe FOTMs could fund some external speakers to come into school o Refurb of the FOTMs storage/cupboards (bear in the mind that the school itself will also have a revamp in the future due to larger year groups) Mat Aylen mentioned the shed that currently houses FOTMs items such as the bouncy castle is falling apart and needs replacing. Mat has researched new sheds and asks if anybody has any local contacts with companies who can help. To be discussed with new committee.
AOB
Leanne Turner, Emma Brown and Selina McDonnell happy to arrange future discos (dates to be arranged with Mrs Perry) Michelle Hunter happy to take the lead on this year’s Christmas Fair (date to be finalised with Mrs Perry asap).
