Fuel Delivery Driver Drives tank truck/bobtail to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • •

Promotes products and programs in a professional and business-like manner to members. Loads truck with product, observing required and reasonable safety measures. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Informs and assists locations with promotions and pricing information. Delivers product to customers tanks making sure correct products are loaded, tanks are not overfilled and safety is observed. Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer. Collects for accounts that are past due or cash only. Delivers product to customers within the company credit policy and pricing structure. Turns in sales information and money daily. Monitors and records inventory at bulk plant, ordering product as needed. Performs routine maintenance on vehicle. Performs other petroleum related duties. Measures, cuts, threads, and connects pipe to feeder line and installed tank. Trenches line to proper depth where appropriate. Makes necessary repairs or installations and tests equipment to insure performance. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Must maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements, DOT physical and commercial insurability at all times. The driver must keep valid endorsements required by the industry in place at all times. Some nights and weekends are required. Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Drivers use computers to generate tickets and keep track of deliveries. Certificates and Licenses:

A valid CDL driver’s license with applicable endorsements, DOT physical and commercial insurability must be maintained at all times. The driver must keep valid endorsements required by the industry in place at all times. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and climb in and out of the truck.
