Questions and answers
No. Our goal is to give our Subscription customers access to the best product development tools now and in the future. We know that all of our customers have different needs, and that those needs often change depending on the projects being worked on. We will continue to invest in software development for both Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360 to bring our customers the new features and functionally they need to make great products.

As a Product Design Suite subscriber, when can I expect to be notified of the Fusion 360 benefit? Is this a limited time offer? No. This is not a limited-time offer.
If I purchased Fusion 360, will I get access to Product Design Suite? No. This benefit is for Product Design Suite Subscription customers and not vice-versa.
Will I be able to use Fusion 360 after the Product Design Suite Maintenance/Desktop contract ends? No. The Fusion 360 benefit will end on the same date as the Product Design Suite Maintenance or Desktop Subscription contract end date.
I purchased a Product Design Suite Subscription and also purchased a Subscription for Fusion 360, am I eligible for a refund? No. In this case, you would have access to two Fusion 360 Subscriptions.
I have Product Design Suite that is not on Subscription, am I eligible for the Fusion 360 benefit? No. Fusion 360 will be a benefit available only to customers (new and existing) with a Subscription to Product Design Suite.
Can I combine the Fusion 360 benefit for my Desktop Subscription and perpetual licenses with Maintenance Subscription? You may purchase a combination of perpetual licenses with Maintenance Subscription and Desktop Subscription. Will Autodesk send a renewal notice for Fusion 360? No. You will receive a renewal notice for Product Design Suite Subscription and not for Fusion 360.
If the Product Design Suite Maintenance Subscription agreement is multiyear, will the Fusion 360 benefit benefit last the entire duration of the Maintenance agreement? Yes. The Fusion 360 contract end date will be the same as the Product Design Suite contract end date; i.e., Fusion 360 benefit will be available for 3 years if the Product Design Suite maintenance contract is for 3 years.
How is Fusion 360 different from Inventor Fusion? Inventor Fusion was built as a desktop “direct modeling” CAD companion product for Inventor – designed to complement parametric workflows in Inventor. Fusion 360 on the other hand is a Cloud based CAD/CAM product built to stand on its own (one integrated tool) as opposed to being a companion product for Inventor. Fusion 360 offers a choice to Product Design Suite customers who are looking for a low overhead collaborative product development tool that is suitable for a distributed, agile/fast-paced environment. If you have used Inventor Fusion, you will find that Fusion 360 has familiar functionality and user experience compared to Inventor Fusion. If you have not used Inventor Fusion, you can expect a short learning curve. Most people find they are designing productively in just a few hours, some even less.
