2. Cut the White Flannel into 12 - 2 ½" x 42" strips and 12 - 2 ½" x 21" strips.

3. Place the following strips wrong sides together to create sets: Two 2 ½" x 42" White strips Two 2 ½" x 42" Jelly print strips (matching) Two 2 ½" x 21" White strips Two 2 ½" x 21" Jelly print strips (matching)

Project Instructions Continued 8. Pin the rows, with the backs together, matching the seams with the seam allowances open; sew and press seams open (Dia. D).

9. Trim the outside edges straight and topstitch ¼" around the outside edge (Dia. E).

10. Clip all seams up to the stitching line approximately every ½" including the outside edge. Clip through both layers at the same time, being careful not to clip into the seam. Tip: Any sharp scissors will work, but spring-loaded scissors reduce hand fatigue.

11. To fray the edges and make the blanket soft and cuddly, machine wash (alone) with a mild soap in cold water, regular cycle; machine dry. Tip: Put a filter on the washer drain to help catch loose threads and clean your dryer lint filter after use.
