All games will be played at the Garland Elementary School. 1. No sliding, free kick from spot of the foul unless foul is within ten feet of the goal, free kick must be at least fifteen from goal, opposing teams players must leave a ten foot buffer between kicker and players. Same rule applies for start and restart of play. 2. Six players from each team on the field at the same time. Including goalie. 3. There shall be two 20 minute halfs and a five minute break for halftime. 4. Substitutions as needed. 5. Shin guards are required. 6. No jewelry. 7. Remember this is meant to be fun and instructional, kind of competitive, please explain infractions, be helpful, and once again have fun. 8. No front cleats if wearing cleats. 9. Practice times are up to the coaches. 10. No hands, this means intentional touching from the shirt seam down the arm. If unintentional then play on. 11. No off sides, and no direct kicks from center placed ball will be counted as a goal. 12. Free kick will result on foul for, pushing, tripping, hands, and dangerous play. Free kick same as rule 2. Free kick does not have to be indirect. 13. First team listed is home team and provides ball. 14. No penalty kicks. 15. There is a no tolerance policy when it comes to how the refs are treated. Meaning anyone that treats them bad will be asked not to join the games anymore. 16. Cancelled games will be posted online at garlandutah.org by 4:00 pm the day of the game. 17. Rain out games are not guaranteed to be made up. If there is a question about the rules of the game please do not argue it during the game. Rather contact me before the next game and we will clarify the rule and make the sure the refs are clear on the rules for the next game. The refs are not perfect and do make mistakes, remember this happens on every level of play in every sport. The tournament will be a bracket style tournament. The rankings for the tournament will be determined by record. There is no play back through in the tournament. For the sake of time, games that are tied will go straight to penalty kicks. There will be five penalty kicks per team. This will continue until one team outscores the other team during a set of five penalty kicks. Everyone must kick before starting the lineup over. Anyone can be goalie. Highest ranked team is home team. First game of season does not count toward tournament standings. Coaches
