Sewing machine in working order. Bring your manual and all accessories just in case (Call the store in advance to reserve one, and, come early to learn ours -if you don't have a machine) Flexible tape measure Fabric scissors and small trimming scissors Pinking shears (not mandatory, but bring them if you have them) Straight pins Seam ripper Fabric chalk, or fabric marking pencil/pen) Fresh machine needles: Size 12 universal sewing needles for your brand of machine Hand sewing needles

Simplicity Dress Pattern #1356 in your size Fabric, pre-washed, in the amount needed for your pattern ◦ Please pick cotton or cotton blend fabric - especially if it's your first garment sewing class ◦ This pattern is reversible - so you will need 5+ yards of fabric. If you want a more inexpensive option, you can make it one-sided and flat-fold muslin for the lining. ◦ If it’s hard to find the exact width of ribbon listed on the pattern, anything under an inch will work fine. Thread to match your fabric Any notions specific to your pattern
