Gathering May 21, 2017 WELCOME to CrossWay Community Church. We are grateful to be able to spend the morning with you. On Sunday mornings we gather together to behold God and build each other up so that we can scatter out into our communities to display and declare the good news throughout the week. “The Three Steps of Decision Making” Various Texts Upcoming Dates and Announcements Congratulations, Sam! This past week, Sam Locke graduated (at the top of his class, we might add) 😊 from Ronald Reagan High School. He is headed to UW Madison in the fall to study computer science. Please find Sam and congratulate him on this achievement! Way to go, Sam! Summer Calendar | available at the Resource Table As the summer approaches, we thought we would provide a small sheet with some of the known gathering dates for our church family. Please pick up your calendar at the Resource Table and check out the calendar on our website to see more details for each event. 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World | May 27-June 25 Muslims around the world will soon be celebrating Ramadan. We can engage in an act of love for Muslim people by lifting them up in prayer during this time. Our prayer is that many would come to know the love of Jesus and place their faith in the one true God. If you are interested in joining in guided prayer through this month, please pick up a prayer guide at the Resource Center. Family Meeting | Sunday, June 4 | 5:30-7:00pm at the Chase Conference Room Mark your calendar for our next family meeting and potluck dinner. This is our annual meeting to talk about the church budget. Depending on how our giving progresses this next budget year, there are potential impacts to our budget that we want everyone to be aware of, so please have at least one member of your household attend this meeting. We will start the evening with a potluck dinner at 5:30pm. Please sign up for a dish at the Resource Table. ---------Youth Group Meetings | Sunday, May 21 | 12:30-2:00 pm at the Glidden’s Home Youth Event | Saturday, May 27 | 11:00am-1:00pm |Frisbee Extreme & Cookout at Abendschein Park in Oak Creek. ---------Sunday Morning Prayer | On Sunday mornings at 9:45am we gather for prayer in the north hallway, near the entrance. There is also an opportunity to pray with someone after today’s service.

Visitor Information Children: Nursery is available for infants through age 3. Sunday School is available for ages 3-5th grade (dismissed before the sermon). Please check your child in before the service. The Child Check-in Station is located in the hallway near the entrance. Resource Table: Visit us in the hallway leading to the auditorium to find out more about CrossWay, borrow a Bible, and learn about the missionaries and ministries we support. Discovering CrossWay: If you are new to our church, please attend this luncheon to learn more about Crossway and meet others in the body. Our next Discovering CrossWay will be 7/16/17.
Gospel Life Courses Sunday mornings from 8:45-9:45 AM, childcare is provided. Spiritual Journaling Workshop | May 21, 28 A mini writing workshop where participants can try some techniques to focus thoughts and prayers. Use a journal to keep records of spiritual insights. Everyone is welcome. Class led by Matt & Mary Dohrmann.
Onward: Engaging the Culture without Losing the Gospel This class will seek to help us understand how the kingdom of God sets our priorities as believers and gives us perspectives on cultural issues. Josh Glidden will lead.
