General Plan Organization

Current General Plan • Adopted in 1996 (20 years old) – GPAC’s very own Don Anderson was the Community Development Director – 13 member GPAC

• Plan before THAT was adopted in 1965 (it was used for 30 years) • Two Volumes – Policy Document (including goals, policies, and implementation programs) – Technical Support/EIR (support data)

Next Steps • Community Open House #2 – Traveling roadshow (5 stops min) – Present Draft Land Use Plan and Projections from GPAC – Collect public feedback – feedback will be packaged and presented to PC and CC along with the GPAC-approved Draft Land Use Plan

• GPAC Meetings #7-10 – Special Topic Areas (i.e., Mobility, Parks, Recreation, and Open Space, Community Design) – Implementation Strategies
