Matthew Eskridge “Bubba”
The precious life of Matthew Eskridge “Bubba” came to a close on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center in Black Mountain, NC. Matthew was born on October 10, 1956,the son of the late Willie Edwards and Kathleen Eskridge in Shelby, NC. At an early age, Matthew joined Shiloh Baptist Church. He was employed with the United States Air Force with honorary recognition for service and many other jobs. Matthew was full of life and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. In addition to his parents, Matthew was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Eskridge. Those left to cherish fond and loving memories of Matthew are four sisters, Peggy Eskridge Oldren of San Antonio, TX, Mae Eskridge Degree, Sarah Eskridge Degree and Brenda Eskridge Roseboro, all of Shelby, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed but will live on in our hearts.
