Gift Card/Business Card Holder You will need: 2 different fabric pieces: 5 1/2” x 4 1/2” One is lining and one is outside 2 pieces of same fabric: 4”x4 1/2” for pockets 1 piece of fusible fleece: 5 1/2” x 4 1/2” 1 small hair elastic 1 button
Fold over the pocket fabric wrong sides together and press so each pocket is 2” x 4 1/2”. Baste each pocket to right side of lining fabric using 1/8th seam allowance keeping folds toward center of lining. Press fusible fleece to wrong side of outside piece. Place outside and inside pieces right sides together and pin but don’t sew! On one of your 4 1/2” sides insert your elastic band between the lining and outside piece in the center. I placed the loop about halfway in the seam. Sew around the holder using a 1/4” seam allowance, leaving a 2” opening. Clip corners. Turn right side out and press, turning in the opening seam allowance. Fold over and press well. Sewing around the outside edge in 1/8” seam allowance. Fold over the elastic and find button placement. When hand sewing on the button make sure you don’t sew through the pocket. Enjoy!
