Glad Creations Inc. Quilt Block Scrap Tamers Plus From Marti & Me Club — Two clubs rolled into one! Come join the fun! September 2012 -- May 2013 Tame your scraps! Finish those projects! Learn to use new tools! This club will begin in September and meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month for 9 consecutive months. The focus of the club will be on learning new techniques, finishing your projects and having some fun. This year we will again be combining the favorite features of our Scrap Tamers Club, including a mystery quilt, with the From Marti and Me Club. The mystery quilt will be scrappy, so you can either use your stash or pre-order one of our specially chosen bundles. As part of the From Marti and Me Club, each month you will receive a pattern for a project which features one of the Marti Michell tools or template sets. Marti Michell tools are designed to make your piecing more accurate. The patterns include different size options and excellent step by step instructions. You can make these projects from your stash or you can preorder a kit. You also can pre-order the featured tool at a discounted price. Kit information will be available to preview and order each month for the next month’s project. We will start in September with an overview of the special features of the Marti Michell tools. You will see a poster of the October project with a chance to preorder the featured tool and/or a kit for the project. You will receive your 1st From Marti and Me pattern at the October session. The meeting dates will be September 15, October 20, November 17, December 15, January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20 and May 18. Sessions will include:  A handout including clues for making a Glad Creations original mystery quilt measuring 56” x 64”.  A complete pattern by Marti Michell featuring one of her tools or template sets.  Instructions and demonstrations for using the featured Marti Michell tool.  Motivation from show and tell.  And—a preview of what’s new in the shop (all the goodies you’ll want to know about). The sessions will generally last about 50-60 minutes. Please plan to arrive on time and stay for the whole session. How to join the club: Register for a session time (10:00, 11:15 or 1:15). To make it fair for everyone, registration begins Saturday, August 25 at 9:30. We will be taking registrations in person or by phone. (No faxes, no e-mails, no mail-ins). You may register on this first sign-up day for yourself and up to 3 friends. We expect these sessions to fill up quickly! Be prepared to stand in line at the shop, and know that the phone will be very busy. We appreciate your patience—we will be taking registrations as fast as we can in the order received. Generally there have been a few spots left after the initial signup day. Call or come in to find out about openings. The cost to participate in the club is $40.00. Prepay at the time of registration to hold your place (payment for phone sign-ups must be received within 4 days of registration). We pack a lot of people into our classroom for this event, and it is a courtesy to other participants as well as the instructor to keep distractions to a minimum.
