God Made Me Take-Home Sheet for Parents What Your Child Learned this Week: There are several examples in the book of Judges of people who carried out a special plan of God. The stories of Deborah, Gideon, and Samson show how God can use an individual to accomplish great things for Him. God has a plan for your child as well. What I Can Do at Home With my Child: Practice this memory verse with your child: “I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.”~ Jeremiah 29: 11 Discuss these ideas with your child: How did Gideon lead his army to defeat the enemy soldiers? Deborah had to be brave to follow God’s leading. Can you think of a time you were brave? What do you think God might want you to do when you grow up?
Family Fun: Ask the parents and grandparents in your family to tell the stories of how they knew what God’s plans were for them. How did they meet their husbands or wives? How did they decide where to go to college? How did they know what job they should do? Thank God for making such wonderful plans for His followers.
