1 yard oilcloth (vinyl coated fabric: looks like clear plastic on right side and woven fabric on wrong side. Available at Hobby Lobby and Joann Fabrics) ½ yard heavy duty clear vinyl. (Available at Joann fabrics.) 5 zippers to coordinate with fabric: 4-14 inch zippers and one 20” zipper. Thread to match fabric and zippers. I used five different colors….I do not recommend this. I changed thread a lot. You will be top stitching on the zippers so you do need thread that will match the zippers. 80/12 Denim needle
Teflon or ultraglide foot: you will need this for sewing on the vinyl. Rotary cutter and 6x18” ruler Pins Chaco chalk marker (roller type) for marking fabric Pressing cloth Scissors Point turner and seam creaser Sewing guage
To do before class: Cut the heavy duty vinyl into rectangles the following sizes: • • • • •
