Grandparents & Special Friends Day Thursday, March 19, 2015 8:30am – 11/11:15am Dear Parents, Grandparents and Special Friends Day (GPSF Day) is a morning where your child, with their grandparents or special friend, will spend time together at PMFS making memories.  

GPSF Day is on the last day of school before spring break, Thursday, March 19. The event begins in the Steinbright Building at 8:30am and ends at 11:00am for Pre-K, and 11:15am for Kindergarten - 6th grade. Further details can be found on the invitation in your red folder.

Look in your child’s red folder for a paper invitation for your child to (decorate and) pass along to their grandparents or special friend, as PMFS will not be contacting them directly. Electronic copies of the invitation and registration are available in Friday, February 27’s Virtual Red Folder and at www.pmfs1780.org/grandparentsandspecialfriendsday. For Parents:  Send your invitations as soon as possible; Reply by Friday, March 13, to let us know if your child will have a guest that day. You can reply by contacting Kelly Tallman ([email protected]) or by sending the registration and information form to the office.  GPSF Day is a noon dismissal for students, but your child may leave with their Grandparent or Special Friend at the close of the program. Please note dismissal plans on the attached registration and information form.  If your guests will need assistance while on campus, please plan for someone to stay with them for the morning. Special needs parking at upper or lower campus is available; please contact Kelly Tallman in advance.  If your child does not have a guest attending, don’t worry – teachers work to ensure that every student will enjoy special company and sharing their classroom with an adult. For our Guests: GPSF Day begins with registration and welcome at 8:30am in the Steinbright Building on the lower campus: coffee, tea and treats await. After a welcome and a brief program celebrating the 5th Grade Mural Project, PMFS volunteers and staff will direct guests to their classrooms. This short reception allows guests to gather, enjoy a warm beverage, and learn more about each other and PMFS, while the teachers and students make their final classroom preparations for their visitors.

Questions? Need to reserve special needs parking at upper or lower campus, or an easily accessible seat for Meeting for Worship (guests of K – 6thgraders)? Please contact Kelly Tallman at [email protected] or 610.828.2288 x220
