Greetings from Sunflower Creations, Cooler weather is coming. We are beginning to feel it in the air. This made me wonder spiritually “Am I becoming cooler” in my heart? Maybe I am just doing my own thing and not giving enough time to Bible reading or quietly seeking what the Lord would have for me to do today. Or maybe He has an area He would like to sanctify. Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming. Am I subconsciously or consciously being to careful with how and what I say so as not to offend anyone. It’s true we need to be careful to not lay offense but should that cause me to be quiet about how thankful I am for all of Gods natural and spiritual Blessings? What about wishing someone a Happy Holiday instead of a Blessed Christmas. With all the turmoil and hurt of the world today don’t we all need more Blessings and just general goodwill? Let’s spread a little cheer and do our part in making the world a better place.

We have a new basic line of fabric called Color Weave. It’s has some beautiful brights and pastels.

Feetures Foot Facts Binder Foot # 94 While Binder Foot # 94 was designed for use with the Bias Binder Attachment # 84, it can also be used alone.

Foot # 94 has only a left toe, as binding is normally fed where the right toe would be. This does not provide much support for the fabric, but it does allow a very clear, unobstructed view of the stitching area. This is beneficial when couching flat strands of sequins, decorative cords, or yarns to a garment or other project.

We have sale prices on the following showroom model machines.

BERNINA 350PE x 1 BERNINA 530 x 1 BERNINA 550QE x 1

A small depression behind the needle slot allows stitches and/or flat stranded sequins to pass under the sole of the foot.

BERNINA 780E x 2 Don’t forget we have interest free financing available (subject to credit approval). These machines will be sold on a first come first serve basis. 

We also have a very gently used BERNINA 780E at an amazing price.

Check out our classes. We have various educational classes available for you to choose from.

Did you know that quilts can be out of balance just like the wheels on your car? When the wheels on you car are out of balance the vehicle vibrates and shakes and shimmies. While quilts do not do vibrate or shake when they are out of balance they can look funny. This can be related to block placement or even fabric placement within the quilt. For instance lights and darks. Sometimes our eyes play tricks on use and what we think is a light may actually register as a dark or vice versa. Stop in and let us show you how this works.

Nurse FIXIT please, I need it yesterday! YEA!!! Our school service contracts are done for another year. If your school offers some type of sewing class please be sure and tell them how much you appreciate it. Sewing is not just a hobby. It touches everyone’s life in many ways. There are also many career paths that our children can travel down as they think of a profession. Sewing is certainly one of them. If nothing else, they learn life skills for everyday practical living. They learn to be thrifty and save. This makes me think of the old saying “Use it up wear it out, make it do or do without”! On a different note. We just serviced a BERNINA machine that has over 800 sewing hours on it. That equates to over 22 million stitches and the machine is still purring like a kitten. Now that’s BERNINA quality!!
