Greetings from Sunflower Creations, Wow! The rain has been wonderful. I love how it washes and makes everything smell so fresh and new. God’s love is like the rain. It leaves you with the warm fuzzy feeling and it makes you see situations and others in a whole different light.

If you have been looking at new machines we have a few show room models that need to go and the prices have been reduced. Following is a listing of the sewing machines: 530, 550QE, 560, 580E, 780E x 2, and the 880E. The following sergers also need to go: 1150 & 1300. When these machines are gone the special prices are gone! Don’t wait too long. We also have a handful of showroom model sewing cabinets specially priced. So spring on in before spring has sprung.
We are going to start hosting the Floriani Signature Socials. This is a class for those that own Floriani Total Control Universal embroidery software. In these classes you will design a project in the software and then sew some or all of the project out depending on the length of the project. Some of the sew outs may need to be finished at home. These classes will be held every other month. They are a good way to keep current in the FTC-U software. Cost is $45. this covers the cost of the class and the materials (fabric, stabilizer, etc.) that you need to complete it. At each Signature Social Floriani also offers a specially priced product bundle for sale. This is an excellent way to stock up or replenish stock at discounted products.

The Bias Binder #84, with Foot #94, folds and wraps flat bias strips around a fabric edge, holding it in place for securing with stitching.

The Bias binder #84 attaches to the freearm in front of the needle, and is secured in place via the two tapped holes to the right of the stitch plate. The securing pin goes into the right hole; the screw into the left hole. The main portion of the binder is a cleverly designed mechanism for folding the sides of a flat bias strip to the center, then folding the resulting strip in half and wrapping it around a fabric edge. Foot # 94, specially designed for use with the Bias Binder #84, has only a left toe, as the binding is fed around the fabric where the right toe would be. A small depression behind the needle slot allows stitches to pass under the sole of the foot. The Bias Binder is available in three sizes. 20-24mm, 22-26mm, and 26-30mm. The size indicates the width of the bias strip used, resulting in a finished edge of approximately one quarter of the measurement.
Nurse FIXIT please, I need it yesterday! The next three months is a good time to get your machine serviced. Most of you are probably working outside or you are busy with other projects. Bring your machine and drop it off. We will be glad to service it for you so it is ready to sew when you are. Please be aware that we will not be able to take appointments for servicing while you wait until after August 1st. We have started servicing our school contracts and will have 20-30 machines at a time in our shop. In order to get through all of these machines before school reopens in August we have to work diligently. Do not let this stop you from bringing your machine as we plan to work them in among the school machines. We anticipate an approximate 7-10 days turnaround time.
