GROUP STUDY QUESTIONS The Armor of God Part 3: Standing on The Gospel of Peace (Ephesians 6:10-18) In talking about the “breastplate of righteousness” we discussed two aspects of righteousness that protect our hearts from the enemy: Practical and Positional. Discuss the difference between the 2. Read Rom. 3:10. How do we put on something we don't have? Read Rom. 3:21-15 and discuss Paul's answer. Read 2 Cor. 5:21. What does this mean for you as a believer? How does that effect your heart? Satan is called the Accuser in Rev. 12:10. How does Satan seek to use accusation to attempt to convince you that you are still guilty before God even as a believer? Why are his accusations so effective in so many of our lives? Read Rom. 8:32-39 and talk about how we can use this section of Scripture to put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect our hearts from his accusations. The shoes of the gospel are about us going out with the message of the gospel – sharing our faith. Have you ever considered sharing your faith as an aspect of spiritual warfare? How does this help us? Why would God make this a part of our armor in our fight against the enemy? Why is believing that hell is a real place essential for us if we are going to put on these shoes? Why do you think so many Christians don't believe in a literal hell? Read 2 Thess. 1:8-9, Rev. 20:14, Rev. 21:8, Matt. 5:39-30 and Luke 5:12. Do these verses motivate you to want to share your faith with lost people? Why or why not? Does God "send" people to hell? Explain your answer. Read 2 Pet. 3:9, I Tim. 2:4 and 2 Pet. 2:4 and talk about God's desire to rescue people. Read Ex. 3:8-10. How does God coming down to rescue His people equate to Moses going? What does this mean for us today?

Read Ex. 3:11-4:14 and look at the excuses Moses gave God as to why he wasn't the right man for the job. Look also at God's answers. Do you identify with Moses in any of these excuses? Which ones and why? How do you think we practically share our faith with people in today's world? Sometimes people fear sharing their faith because they just don't know what to say. What does I Peter 3:15 teach us about this? Read 2 Cor. 5:18-21, Jn. 3:16-17, Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 3:23, Rom. 6:23 and Rom. 10:9-10. These are a few verses we should know to be ready and equipped to share our faith. End by praying for people by name that you know who are lost. Pray also for God to open doors for you to share your faith with them and anyone else God would bring into your life.
