WIN Grug at your next birthday party Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions 1. Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of the Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions. By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions (and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material) which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter. 2. The Promoter is Simon & Schuster Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 84 000 945 380, Suite 19A, Level 1, Building C, 450 Miller Street Cammeray NSW 2062. 3. Entry is open to Australian residents living in NSW, ACT, SA, VIC, NT, WA or QLD and aged 16 years and over. 4. The competition commences at 8am, 4/07/16 AEST and concludes at 8am, 27/07/16 AEST. The time of entry will in each case be the time the entry is received by the Promoter’s database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries including entries not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery of the entry due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason. 5. One entry per person only and email address only. 6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Competition Rules, Terms and Conditions or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes, but is not limited to, entrants and households using multiple email addresses, postal addresses or PO Box addresses. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause. 7. To be in the running to win, each entry must include a contact name, valid email address and home address. It must also include in 30 words or less an answer to this question: Why are you or your child Grug’s biggest fan? 8. The Winner will be the most original and creative valid entry as selected by one employee from Simon & Schuster Australia. 9. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 10. The Winner will be notified by email and/or Facebook direct message on 27/07/16 AST using the details provided in their entry form. The Winner’s name will be announced publicly through the Promoter’s Twitter and Facebook networks on this day. 11. If the Promoter is unable to contact the Winner to claim fulfillment of the promotional prize and the prize is unclaimed within 7 days from 27/07/16 AEST, an unclaimed prize draw will be held on 03/08/16 AEST at Simon and Schuster Australia, Building C, Level 1, 450 Miller Street Cammeray, NSW, 2062. The Promoter will not be liable for a winner who cannot be contacted and therefore forfeits their prize. Every effort will be made to contact winners for the time period of 1 week and no correspondence will be entered into. 12. The prize must to be redeemed within 12 months of the competition closing. will be made to fulfil the Winner’s request, we cannot guarantee the availability of the suit for the requested and the Promoter will discuss alternate options directly with the Winner. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish any of the entries received. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not exclusively infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition. The prize is a Grug party and includes: the loan of an adult-sized Grug costume, shipping to and from the location, the full collection of Grug books, Grug bunting, posters and balloons (based on what’s available), x15 copies of Grug Has a Birthday and x5 copies of Grug’s Big Book of Fun. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any illness or dissatisfaction that may occur as a result of the prize. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any injuries incurred by wearing the Grug suit or using any of assets included in the Grug party pack. The Winner will liaise with The Promoter to ensure the costume is signed for on arrival and collected by the courier. The Promoter will liaise with the Winner to ensure the delivery and pick-up times work for both parties. Any damages to the Grug suit that require the Promoter to fix at a cost will need to be reimbursed by the Winner. This may include the shipping of the Grug costume to the manufacturer in Melbourne where repairs are undertaken. The Promoter is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize Winner. The Promoter collects the entrants’ personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition (including, but not limited to, determining and notifying winners). The Promoter will only use and store the entrants personal information for the purposes disclosed to the entrant, including sharing it with any other organisation that helps the Promoter provide the goods or services eg. The delivery of prizes. Entrants will only receive marketing material from the Promoter if they check the appropriate boxe(s) on the entry form.
