Getting Grug into the right hands We’ll also be promoting the Grug series and the benefit of its use as an early reader for children at the Australian Primary Principals Conference in September this year. A Grug starter kit will be distributed to over 500 principals from schools across the country to champion in their schools and encourage new readers. We’ll also target key associations via EDMs and events to promote Grug within their networks.
Developing a love of reading We’ll be working with GoodStart Early Learning Childcare centres to develop an education program for their pre-school classes that incorporates Grug into their program. GoodStart have 641 childcare centres nationally and are supported by 13,000 staff with 61,000 families attending.
And don’t forget you can have a piece of Grug too… Grug is available for library and bookshop events and festivals so let us know if you’d like him to visit you and your customers.
Grug has more likes than you… Grug is a very popular guy online with a massive 110,458 likes on Facebook. We’ll be running a competition to encourage people to share their memories of Grug, particularly parents who grew up with Grug and now have children of their own.
