The dining room is not large but I seat 12 people comfortably.” The upstairs master bedroom is quite spacious and has its own master bath. It’s ceilings were raised during renovations to add an extra dimension of space. Downstairs, the kitchen has French doors that lead out to a sitting area and the gardens beyond. appeared in a number of premier magazine, such as Better Homes & Gardens and Elle Décor. The pool area has been a favorite of Mr. Leva’s and has a spectacular oval-shaped lap pool and Jacuzzi. It is flanked by plantings of various shrubs and perennials, which turn the area into a riot of color spring through fall. The pool was constructed to give it a pond-like appearance. There’s a lovely and protected seating area in which to while away hot summer days or relax with a beverage and food after a swim. The white climbing hydrangea create a spectacular scene when in full bloom. But the flowering beauty is not confined to the pool area, as there are several large border gardens that have been designed and planted by Mr. Leva with assistance from a local gardener. “I enjoy working in the gardens,” Mr. Leva says. “I have help maintaining it but I’m involved in the design and plantings.” In addition to the shrubs, there are a number of specimen trees located on Mr. Leva’s property. field to the east. “It really changes with the seasons. When the corn is high it presents one look and then before the stalks grow and after they are cut down it offers another view. The hills beyond are just amazing, especially in the autumn when the trees turn color.” He laughs when the subject of the massive maple in front of the
house comes up. “We have had some discussions and determined it is only the second oldest tree in town. The oldest one is in the town’s center.
