Haunting Block These instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the block diagram for fabric placement. Sew a cream spider triangle to an assorted print triangle. Press. Repeat to make 4 Triangle Units. Sew two Triangle Units to opposite sides of a 9” assorted print square. Press. Sew the two remaining Triangle Units to the two remaining opposite sides to create the Haunting Block. Repeat to make 20 Haunting Blocks.

CUTTING REQUIREMENTS Please read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border and sashing pieces. Fat Quarter Stack Cut 1 square 9” x 9” from each fat quarter except for cream spider. Cut 1 square 71/4” x 71/4” from each fat quarter except for cream spider. Cut each square twice diagonally to create 4 triangles from each print.
Sashing and Blocks Refer to quilt photo for block placement. Sew a Haunting Block to a cream spider 2½” x 12½” rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 4 blocks and 3 sashing rectangles. Make 5 rows. Quilt Center Assembly See quilt photo for row and sashing placement. Lay out the 5 rows and the 4 cream spider 2½” x 54½” sashing rectangles. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.
Gray Main Cut 8 strips 6½” x WOF for Border 3.
Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.
Black Skull Cut 7 strips 2½” x WOF for Border 2.
Border 1 Side borders should be 68½”. Top and bottom borders should be 58½”.
Cream Spiders Cut 4 strips 7¼” x WOF. Cut the strips into 20 squares 7¼” x 7¼”. Cut each square twice diagonally to create 80 triangles. Cut 1 strip 12½” x WOF. Cut the strip into 15 rectangles 2½” x 12½” for sashing. Cut 6 strips 2½” x WOF. Sew the strips together and cut into 4 rectangles 2½” x 54½” for sashing. Cut 7 strips 2½” x WOF for Border 1.
Border 2 Side borders should be 72½”. Top and bottom borders should be 62½”. Border 3 Side borders should be 76½”. Top and bottom borders should be 74½”. Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Happy Haunting Collection.
