Hawk Soccer Academy Summer Camps Conducted by Chowan University Men’s Soccer Staff Chris Whalley and Lee Williams The philosophy of Hawk Soccer Academy is to educate and teach not only soccer skills but teamwork and good sportsmanship, we encourage children to work on their skills and develop their talents but at the same time want players to enjoy and love the game as we do. Your son or daughter is going to get a unique experience to work with collegiate players from different cultures from all over the world. We will provide great mentors and role models for your children and build lasting relationships in our community.

[email protected] Staff Camp Directors Chris Whalley and Lee Williams have developed Chowan University Men’s Soccer into a powerhouse program. They led the Hawks to the NCAA regional championship in 2015 and first ever National Finals appearance in the same year. In 2014, the Hawks were the most improved team in all of NCAA college soccer. Coach Whalley has over a decade of experiences at Division I and Division II levels, and has developed numerous professional players but has always been committed to the community and helped develop grass roots soccer. “Todays youth players are the future of US soccer and I want to help develop and make players passionate about this great game through fun and learning”. Listed below are a few of Coach Whalleys accolades: • Guided Chowan University to 12 win in 2014, in first season (Most in program history) and first national NCAA top 25 ranking. • Coached Lees-McRae College he held a 77-22-10 career record, a #1 National Rankings in 2009 NCAA National Runner-Up finish that same season. • Conference Carolinas titles in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and Conference Carolinas tournament championships in 2007 and 2008 making the NCAA tournament 3 years in a row.
• NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year accolades in 2007 and Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year honors in 2007 and 2009. National Coach of the year runner up 2009. • Played Professionally for Reading Rage USL 2003-2004 Other staff members will include, Chowan University soccer players and other collegiate coaches and players.

Need to bring water bottle (coolers provided), snacks for through the day. Brink water bottle (coolers provided) and snacks for throughout the day. Cleats and shin guards needed, rain or wet weather jacket also advised in case of bad weather.
