Hiking: Research local hiking trails and explore your vacation spot on foot for a great cardio workout.

Kayaking: Near a river? Check into nearby kayak rentals or tours. Your back, shoulders, arms, hands, abdomen, chest and especially heart are key target areas during this adventurous exercise.

Biking: Most vacation spots offer bike rentals. Take a ride to dinner or simply to explore.

Walking: Feel the sand between your toes or hit the boardwalk!

Surfing: Try something new! Work on your balance, strength and flexibility while you have fun in the sun.

Use the swings for rows or single leg squats

No monkeying around! If there are monkey bars, do pull ups, or hang and raise your knees to work abs. Place your hands on the curb and do mountain climbers or do alternating toe taps. A park bench can be used for step ups, triceps dips or incline push ups

Pool: A water workout is a great alternative; especially if you have some aches and pains from sleeping in a different bed or you’ve been doing a lot of walking!

Gym: Most hotels offer a small exercise room. If the weather is less than ideal, jump on a treadmill or elliptical for a quick cardio workout.
