Park hours are dawn to dark; no trespassing after dark Pets must be leashed at all times; owners must immediately clean up after pets Portions of the Robbins Trail pass through private property; please remain on the trail at all times All portions of Mahoning Creek within the park are open to fishing as allowed by PA Fish & Boat Commission regulations No open fires except in park grills No camping except by special permission No hunting or discharging of weapons Sports field and pavilion users must yield to those who have made reservations Bicycles are allowed on all trails but must travel at safe speeds and respect other

The Hess Recreation Area offers visitors a great variety of things to do, including: more than 3.6 miles of hiking/biking trails, sports fields, a concrete skatepark, fishing access, nature observation areas, the Lucile Roberts Covered Bridge and a picnic pavilion for group and family outings.
