Instructions to complete “Hexagon” earrings: Tip These earring are constructed of nine individually wrapped rows of bicones and are made with a variation of the Filling in a Component Technique. Please refer to the diagram below for the key
Step 1 Cut a piece of wire about 6-inches in length and anchor it near the bottom of the open frame by wrapping the wire around one side three times (see Filling in a Component Technique). Step 2 Referring to the diagram above: Row 1: String 6 – 3mm Indicolite crystal bicones onto the wire. Step 3 Making sure the beads are sitting inside the open frame wrap the wire to the opposite side of the open frame with three wraps. Step 4 Anchor a second 6-inch length of wire onto the open frame just above the anchor from Step 1 using five wraps. Step 5 Row 2: String 7 – 3mm Indicolite crystal bicones onto the wire. Step 6 Making sure the beads are sitting inside the open frame wrap the wire to the opposite side of the open frame with five wraps.

Step 10 Place one 4mm Indicolite crystal bicone bead onto one ear wire blank. Turn a simple loop (see Simple Loop Technique) at the open end of the blank. Step 11 Using chain nose pliers, open the loop on the ear wire (see Attaching an Ear Wire Technique). Attach it to the loop at the top of the open frame. Close the loop. Step 12 Repeat Steps 1-12 for the second earring.
