HFL Sports Boosters Meeting Minutes – January 5, 2015 Attendees: Sam Villanti, Bill Millard, Matt Bailey, Brian Donohue, Michele Shone, Carol Bellavia, Stephanie Templeton Financial Review - Matt Bailey: Calendar year end, SB had over $50,000 in revenue – best year on record Funding Requests: Varsity Football request for team travel bags - $1,440 approved Nordic Ski Uniforms - $1,500 approved o Note: donation of $1,500 received from Makuta Technics, Inc. to pay for the uniforms. In thanks, SB will add a brick to the walk of fame in their name Wellness Center rack/bench request for funds – will discuss and vote at Feb meeting AD Report – Brian Donohue: see report below Chow Hut: Indoor closing – need to make sure reconciliation sheet is filled in and cash is deposited Pizza quantities have been reduced due to too much left over. Brian stated that there are some games where we will need more pizza due to attendance volume (ex. Pitts Mendon and Pitts Sutherland games) Suggestion to try ice cream novelties for indoor CH – one issue is where to house the freezer (which is available at HFMP, per Bill Millard or from Randy Scroger) – Action Item: Tom and Randy will look into this Membership-Michele Membership for the 2014-15 school year is at 112 families Very few membership/concussion forms have been received Get winter athletic roster from Joy. Brian mentioned that full rosters are available on the new scheduling site– Action Item: Michele to get list Add new schedule site information to SB website and Facebook page – Action Item: Michele to add Public Relations – Nicole Nicole provided a few logos for us to review – we will discuss and review further in Feb Other Business Brian Donohue was named Section V Athletic Director of the Year Regarding donated funds that are earmarked for a specific use. SB will discuss and address this issue on an individual basis
2014-15 Meeting Dates - meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the HS Cafeteria February 2nd, March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th, June 1st Open 2014-15 Issues from the Punch List 2014-15 Goals: Increase SB membership from current levels to 80% of all athletic families Develop greater board participation through subcommittees such as membership, fundraising, PR, etc. Generate at least $28,000 through concession activities Generate at least $3,000 through merchandise sales. Also standardize the use of HFL athletic logos Plan and implement one significant capital campaign - possibly to rebuild Press Box Utilize our website, signage and local media to promote the SB club to a broader audience

Cougar Classic o Raised $1200 for C.U.R.E. First Team All Greater Rochester: o Matt Geraci, Payton Reed- Cross-Country o Alex Ptucha- Soccer o Audrey Goldfarb- Volleyball o Grace Baumer, Madison Sullivan- Swimming Seth Patterson placed 6th at the Monroe County Wrestling Championships this past weekend, earning him All-League recognition. On Thursday, December 18th in a meet against Fairport, Paul Tobin broke a 22 year old pool record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22:11. The previous record was set by Matt Niemi (22:22). Jack Mcdonald (Boys Basketball) was featured on the Vision High School Sports Beat’s “Making the Grade” segment.
