HIGHLAND YOUTH BASEBALL EVALUATION DAY
HIGHLAND YOUTH BASEBALL EVALUATION DAY The Recreation Association of Highland (RAH), in conjunction with the Highland High School Baseball Teams and Coaches, will be monitoring Boys Baseball Evaluation Day. Below are the details for the divisions and times. We apologize, in advance, for the multiple locations. In order to properly evaluate Hitting and Pitching, we need to use the High School Auxiliary Gym (back gym), as well as the middle school gymnasiums. While not ideal, I know, it is the best we can do this year. We will need to inconvenience everyone by asking you to go to both locations for you son to get evaluated. Again, we apologize, but it is what it is. When: Sunday, March 1st / 11:15 am to 3:30 pm (please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to you slotted time) Time: Minors “Kid Pitch” (9-10 year olds) - 11:15am to 12:45 pm (Auxiliary Gym-HHS AND Middle School) G-League (11-12 year olds) – 1:00 to 2:15pm (Auxiliary Gym-HHS AND Middle School) F-League (13-14 year olds) – 2:15 to 3:30pm (Auxiliary Gym-HHS AND Middle School)
Where: Highland High School – AUXILIARY GYM (for hitting and pitching) Highland Middle School – East and West gyms for fielding, throwing, etc.
Why:
Each of the above listed divisions use a draft to create an even distribution of talent for each team. In order to create a “level playing field”, a DRAFT is used. Players from E-League, Rookies, and T-Ball are NOT required to attend the evaluation day.
Save the Dates: Skills Camps – the high school baseball and softball teams will be hosting Skill Camps at the Middle School and High School Auxiliary Gym on March 7th, 14th, and 21st. More details to follow. Skills camps will be assigned by age groups and times will be slotted from 9am to 2pm.
