Salary Range:

£20/hr for National league coaching and set fee for Match Attendance, travel expenses. £15/hr for both District League coaches

8.00pm-9.30pm on Mondays (Old Anniesland water based pitch), 8.00pm – 9.30pm on Wednesdays ( Upper Windyedge water based pitch)

Hillhead Ladies Hockey Club are looking for a National League coach and 2 District League coaches (3rd, 4th and 5th XI). The club is committed to investing in coaching for the coming season (and beyond) with a significant increase in coaching budget agreed at AGM. Our 1st XI are due to play their 2nd season in National 1 and the club is looking for a group of coaches that share the clubs drive to become an established National 1 team that pushes higher up the table. We have a well established juniors club and consistent club member numbers. Experience of sports coaching Consistent Availability to lead sessions Ability to organise, lead and deliver regular training sessions to a variety of participants Ability to demonstrate evidence of effective planning, preparation and evaluation of sessions including matches where appropriate Ability to promote enjoyment of hockey for all Availability to attend a significant proportion of matches over the season or provide alternative support for teams Ability to address queries and/or feedback from members sensitively and promptly. Ability to maintain a professional and impartial role within the club Commitment to the Hillhead ethos

Level 1 coaching qualification or above Umpiring C Badge or above Proof of up to date knowledge of the modern game and techniques to improve performance in this context Experience at relevant level of hockey relating to specific coaching post (National or District level) Ability to promote our club and attract new players

General Role and Responsibilities

To carry out coaching in a professional manner and in line with FIH and SHU guidelines To oversee all participants during every session, ensuring they are safe and fully engaged To work together with other coaches where required. To provide a coaching update for committee meetings throughout the season
