Hilltopper Basketball Camp WEST LIBERTY UNIVERSITY -West Liberty University is located 8 miles outside Wheeling among the rolling hills of West Virginia. -Overnight campers will be housed two per room in the air-conditioned college dor m itor ies located on campus. *Camp Counselors will also be staying in the dormitories to monitor and provide assistance if needed. Campers will provide their own linens. -Overnight campers will receive three well balanced meals per day. -A professional medical trainer will be on duty at all times.

[email protected] Brett Ervin is in his second year as an assistant coach at West Liberty University. In his first season on the Hilltop, Ervin helped guide the Toppers to a 26-4 overall record, an MEC Conference title, their 9th straight NCAA Tournament berth, and their 8th NCAA scoring title. Ervin spent the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant at Le Moyne College (NCAA Division 2) in Syracuse, NY, working alongside head coach Patrick Beilein. In just his second season he helped lead the Dolphins to a 22-7 record, a division title, and a #1 seed in the NCAA East Regional. This was just the Dolphins 2nd NCAA tournament birth in the last 20 years. Ervin played collegiately at Elon University for his 1st three years before transferring to West Virginia Wesleyan College where he graduated in 2014. In his senior campaign at WVWC he averaged 12.1 points per game while leading the Bobcats to a 20-12 season. Ervin made a total of 92 3-point FGs (3rd in MEC) while shooting 41.6 percent (7th in MEC) from beyond the arc. Ervin is originally from Clarksburg, WV. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from WVWC. A master’s degree in sport management from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in business administration from Le Moyne College.
CAMP INFORMATION -DAILY SCHEDULE: Morning sessions stress the development of fundamentals and improving the individual skills of each player. Afternoons are filled with team drills, competitions, and league games. The evening sessions feature league play and recreational activities. *Campers will be divided into three leagues and play approximately 3 games per day. Teams will be formed according to age and ability. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Check-in will be between 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Campers will depart at approximately noon on Wednesday. Arrangements can be made for early or late arrivals and departures. -COST: $275 per camper. A $75 deposit is required with application. The $200 balance is due at checkin. The fee covers room, meals, instruction, T-shirt, and other camp expenses. Therefore, campers need little cash at camp. The $75 deposit is fully refundable if notice is received by July 8th. After arrival at camp, no refunds will be given to athletes who depart from camp early. ****Parents will be sent an email notice when deposit is received along with additional information and items to bring.
CAMP OVERVIEW FACILITIES: Cam p sessio n s w ill be held in the Academic, Sports, and Recreation Complex. The 10.5 million dollar complex features three airconditioned playing courts. The air -conditioned dorm allows the athletes to relax after a full day of basketball. Campers receive 3 well-balanced meals per day. Additional athletic facilities include an indoor swimming pool, weight room, fitness center and a four lane running track. STAFF: The camp is staffed with quality college and high school coaches. Members of the West Liberty University Hilltopper basketball team will also serve as camp counselors. EMPHASIS: The camp will focus on your offensive development! Shooting the basketball and your 1-on1 offensive moves will be emphasized every day. LECTURES/DEMONSTRATIONS will be given daily by college basketball players and coaches.
