HOBGOOD BASEBALL – PRESS RELEASE FALL 2013 BASEBALL SEASON

Park construction will begin at Hobgood Baseball starting July 1, 2013. In an effort to expand and improve the Hobgood Park baseball facilities there will be new horizontal foul ball netting, concession renovations, pavement resurfacing around the complex and new field lights will be installed. The park is scheduled to re-open March 1, 2014. The SUMMER 2013 All Star Season will not be affected by this construction plan. Those teams will have the opportunity to complete their summer season without interruption. The FALL 2013 Baseball Season will be scheduled and facilitated at the upper Hobgood Park Softball Complex fields. In a collaborated effort to communicate to all of our baseball families in a timely fashion we want to provide to you the most up to date information as increased safety measures will take place during this phase of construction. The Cherokee Recreation & Parks Agency along with Hobgood Baseball Board Members will be communicating this progress throughout the set time table. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve a great facility and make it safer for your children and generations to come.
