LHC would like to Welcome Kullen Schroht as our new High School Boys Head Hockey Coach! We are excited about the upcoming hockey season and the years to come!!! NOTE from Coach Kullen Schroht …. I would like to begin by thanking everyone for the most recent opportunity to be the new Head Coach for the Boys High School Team. This is a great honor and I feel privileged to have such a strong support system at both the youth and high school levels. This will be my third season working with the high school team and seventh season overall in coaching. Prior to coming to Luverne I had worked as a Bantam coach in St. Cloud, Minnesota and also assisted with the Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL. In addition to my time with the high school team, I have also assisted with the HP-15 and HP-17 teams. Although hockey is my passion, my professional career is at the Grandstay Hotel & Suites as the General Manager. I moved to Luverne in January of 2013 to assist with the opening of the property in May 2013. I am originally from Owatonna, Minnesota, but have spent time living in St. Cloud, St. Paul, and Sioux Falls. I just recently bought a home in Luverne and have enjoyed doing homeowners projects around the house this summer. Moreover, I spend my spare time attending Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings games. I would like to wish all the teams a safe and successful upcoming season! Kullen Schroht

[email protected] Mini Mite/Mite Learn to Skate Hockey Program Dear Mini Mite/Mite Hockey Families, Welcome to the 2015-2016 Skating and Hockey Season!! We are about to embark on our second season of skating lessons and I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your player’s skating development. First day of classes will be October 19th and run 14 weeks, ending January 18, 2016. Once again Luverne Hockey has made this program a part of their mini mite/mite program so there is no extra charge for these classes. Participation is part of your player’s practice schedule and as such should be considered just as important as team practices. BMFS has received all contact information for both levels from Luverne Hockey and an email will be going out soon that will have all the classes and times. Luverne Hockey also encourages players at other levels to take advantage of this program. Cost is $130 and registration may be done online at www.bluemoundfigureskating.com. These classes are based on the Ice Skating Institutes Hockey Program utilizing their Hockey Skating test standards to ensure well-rounded basic skating development for all players that pass through all five tests. BMFS will be taking attendance each week and keeping track of each player’s progress and these records will be sent to Luverne Hockey in December and then again at the end of classes in January. Players are moved to the next level when they have mastered the maneuvers at their present level. Your player’s class level has absolutely no bearing on what team he plays on, who he plays with, what level he plays or what position he plays. Our job is to take your player and fill in the gaps in their skating skills to make them a well-rounded skater. BMFS is excited to get the skating season underway. We will see you on October 19th!!!
Help keep your child’s skin healthy and eliminate odor by using the O-Zone Machine for all sports equipment!
