HOLLIDAYSBURG SOCCER ASSOCIATION MEETING OF 6/17/14 Board Members Present:

Rick Madara called the meeting to order at 7:35pm
PA West Annual Meeting David Teeter will represent the HSA in the annual PA West meeting on 7/12/14 in Slippery Rock. We are required to have representation or we will be fined $300. Rick Madara will provide a proxy for voting rights. The HSA will provide $100 for travel and expenses.
Officials There was a game that was short on officials so a 2 man system was used. The opposing coach complained and Linda Shoop contacted Rick Madara regarding the issue. This was an unforeseen circumstance. We will make every effort to have 3 officials at every game, but we will not cancel a game if we only have 2. We can have the opposing coach provide a linesman if it is an issue.
Field Maintenance The field is in pretty good shape. There are a few areas where holes need filled and seeded. This will be done in the fall so the grass will grow. We will not paint the fields for tryouts.
Teams Craig Shale’s team would like to move to Division 4 in the fall.
Tryouts HSA will supply evaluators with a list of drills. There will also be small sided games of 3V3 or 4V4. Coaches will not evaluate their own age group. Evaluators will be required to record the player name on the evaluation. Coaches will alert the players on their roster that they made the team. Rick Madara will contact the players who do not make the team.
Uniforms We have a new logo for HSA therefore will be ordering all new uniforms. Anita Kendziora will look at the past uniform orders and come up with an estimate of what we will need with some extras. We will order these uniforms with the logo but without numbers. The coaches will be responsible for
numbering the jerseys for their team. We will research the ability to prepay for these numbers rather than reimburse coaches. Extra uniforms will be kept in inventory for when a player needs a new uniform. We will replenish the inventory as needed. Coaches will be provided with a dry fit shirt with the logo. There will be a limit of 2 per team. Anita will look at sourcing the shirts.
Fan Gear We are looking for a place to order Spirit Wear for the fans. Anita will research through Eurosport. Nicole Auman will research an online site that allows fans to order and pay for their own gear. The club can potentially get a portion of the proceeds.
Field Safety The AYSO goals should be put away. We have had several children climbing and playing on them. Meeting adjourned at 8:55pm
