Many thanks for your support and generosity. Parents Evenings Thanks to everyone who attended the Parents’ evenings this week. As always your support is really valued. Parent Governor Elections Thanks to everyone who voted in the Parent Governor elections. The successful candidates were Mrs Claire Ravenscroft and Mrs Anne McColl. Friends of Holy Rosary Family Fun Day – 28 November - Reminder The Family Fun Day takes place on Saturday 28 November in Holy Rosary Parish Centre from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. A Mufti-day will be held on Friday 27 November, when the children can wear their own clothes for school. Children are being asked to bring in items for the Christmas Fayre as follows:Nursery & Reception Years 1 and 2 Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

Chocolate items (ie chocolate bars, Buttons etc for a tombola) Cakes Bottles for the bottle tombola

The Friends have provided each family with 2 books of raffle tickets. Although the Friends asked for tickets to be returned to school by 20 November, they will of course accept tickets through school up until next Thursday 26 November. Extra raffle tickets are available - if you would like some, to sell to family members and friends, please call into the school office. Raffle tickets will also be available on the day of the Fayre. Christmas Charity I have attached a letter from a charity in Sierra Leone which this school has supported previously. I must admit, that reading it brought a tear to my eye, particularly when I think about how much my own children get at Christmas!! We have decided that we would like to sponsor two children for a year and we can do this if each child in the school donates £1. What a wonderful reminder of the real meaning of Christmas this will be! School Nurse Drop In Sessions The dates for this year’s School Nurse Drop-In Clinics are:Wednesday 16 March from 8.45 to 9.45 am Wednesday 11 May from 8.45 to 9.45 am The clinic will be held in school – so if you wish to see the nurse, please just report to the school office. During the clinics the nurse will be available for a confidential service regarding your child’s health and development, including

health promotion advice and signposting to others for information and support. The nurse is based at Maghull Health Centre – telephone 0151 222 3437. Flu Vaccination for Children in Years 1 and 2 - Reminder The school nurses are coming into school next Thursday 26 November to administer these vaccinations. If you have not already done so, would you please complete the Flu Immunisation Consent Form that was sent to you in September. Thank you. Sacramental Programme for Year 4 pupils and their parents Father Butchard has asked us to remind you about the dates of the forthcoming meetings:Session 3 - Tuesday 24 November 2015 Reconciliation – Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 December 2015 Session 4 – Tuesday 19 January 2016 Session 5 – Tuesday 23 February 2016 Session 6 – Tuesday 15 March 2016 Session 7 – Tuesday 26 April 2016 Christmas Dinner Christmas Dinner will be served on Tuesday 8 December. We are advising you about the date in advance, as previously, it was suggested it would be nice if children who were on packed lunch could bring in an extra Christmas Treat with their lunch on that day. If you wish, you can provide your child with a treat with their packed lunch as suggested. Unfortunately, because of the numbers involved, we are not able to accommodate a possible increase in demand for a School Meal on that day. Thank you for your understanding.
