Homer Athletic Club June Meeting Thursday, June 13, 2013

Meeting called to order by John Kruczek at 8:15 Roll Call Present: John Kruczek, Ken Marcin, Mark Schulthies, Dave Regan, Chris Moore, Steve Bruton, Pat Greany Open Forum Homer Founder’s Club – Vince Colabelli  Looking for co-sponsorship for softball tournament at Comple  Game is 8/3/13  HAC to provide softballs, bases and underwrite insurance  Founders club to set and take care of the fields  Fundraiser for Founders Club

Secretary Report Tabled minutes for May that were taken by Ken Marcin in Chris Moore’s absence. To be revisited as old business in the next meeting.

Treasury Report Pat Greany read the report. There was a motion by Ken Marcin to accept February’s Treasury Report. Steve Bruton seconded the motion. All voted aye,motion carries

Committee Reports

Baseball:  All teams in playoffs starting week 6/17  All star tryouts 6/22/13  Allstars get shirt and hat, use rec pants and socks  Swila playoffs 6/18 at Silver Cross Field

Softball: Playoffs week of 6/24, championship on 6/29

Basketball: Need to request time in August for gym time. Dave Regan has the forms

Volleyball:  Davis Bresnahan as new volleyball director  Ken Hanouw to help schedule

Part-time Fire Baseball:  Hosted 10/11/12 for CSL Memorial day tournament and it was well received  Made $1300 from CSL  $2500 in Concessions  Trying to get CSL to use the Complex for all age levels next year  Nick Francone 2nd place finish

 Brian Viar 2nd place finish  Incident w/ Englewood on field with 7u

Full-time Travel Baseball:  Choosing next year’s managers in executive  Talk of full time baseball program in executive

Part-time Travel Softball:  10u Fire won CSL memorial day tournament  12u Fire won CSL memorial day tournament

Full-time Travel Softball:  12u Heat Maroon won Roselle tournament

Field Maintenance:  Missing gator found last Tuesday in woods behind creamery

Concession: -No jalapenos for nachos

Equipment:  Need to order trophies for softball  Rec bag return TBD

Sponsorship:  Placards are up at Complex  Website to be updated (DR)  Need to get sponsorship from circle tractor

Marketing: Ads to run in Homer and Lockport for Fall Ball

New Business:  Scoreboard controllers, 1 bad others need to be reprogrammed  See if we can get simpler controller

President Report: Motion to accept founders club bid. Ist by Marcin. Motion carries by voice vote.

Mark Schulthies made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by Pat Greany. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous aye vote at 8:58 (new record)
