Homer Athletic Club June Meeting Thursday, May 09, 2013

Meeting called to order by Ken Marcin at 8:23 Roll Call Present: John Kruczek, Ken Marcin, Mark Schulthies, Dave Regan, Chris Moore, Steve Bruton, Pat Greany Open Forum None

Secretary Report There was a motion by Steve Bruton to accept the April Secretary Report. Dave Regan seconded the motion. All voted aye, motion carries

Treasury Report Pat Greaney read the report. There was a motion by Steve Bruton to accept the April Treasury Report. Mark Schulthies seconded the motion. All voted aye, motion carries

Committee Reports Baseball:  All teams in playoffs starting week 6/17  All Star odds will be July 17-21 and evens will be July 23-28  Swila starts on May 19-HAC was offered a suite at for a Slammers game on May 17 for around 20 people to attend.

Softball: Season has started

Basketball: None

Volleyball:  Spike is Done-Set is done and Bump final game is May 10  Ken Hanouw will be stepping down referring only. The club appreciates the time and commitment Ken has shown to the volleyball program

Part-time Fire Baseball:  Hosting for CSL Memorial day tournament May 25 and 26. We have the 10, 11 and 12 year olds.

Full-time Travel Baseball:  Pat Greaney gave status of travel teams most above .500 some struggling  Deadline for Heat Managers June 12  Tryouts will be July 15 and July 16 at Complex

Part-time Travel Softball:  We will have 2 12 U all stars and 2 10U all stars 

Full-time Travel Softball:  Need to advertise the upcoming tryouts for Full

Field Maintenance:  Township to pay for sprinkler heads  The bill for sportsfield to fix the 4 fields at the complex is $15,800.  Fencing needs to be fixed or replaced at culver NE and SW  Pitcher mounds repaired on fields 1 and 2.

Concession: In the red approx. $5,800.

Equipment:  Picture Day May 21 and May 22 

Sponsorship:  40 Placards were ordered  Banners up on all fields

Marketing: Chamber Golf Outing on May 17

President Report: John Kruczek explained the field usage policy that the township has in place and explained that the present usage policy is being examined for each sports group.

Chris Moore made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by Dave Regan. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous aye vote at 10:20.
