Treasurer's ReportThe Board reviewed the Treasurer's Report for the month. Ex Chief Brad White's credit card has been canceled. We were unable to transfer the bonus points earned for using the card, but the company issued a $50 gift card to Best Buy, which was used to purchase a printer for the Chief's office. There was some discussion over an invoice from B&J Plumbing. Joe Darrel will contact Rod Lock to clarify the invoice. Mike Thompson made a motion to approve the Treasurer's report. Rob Firth seconded. Motion carried.
Chief's Report-The Department responded to one call of a motor vehicle accident east of town and conducted traffic control. -Training-They have begun holding a training on the 'off' Tuesday which is optional. A few of the volunteers want to participate in the Firefighters Academy which begins in April. The regular training covered chimney fires. Good news is that attendance for training has increased. -The county wide Chief's meeting was held. They have purchased a Fit Test machine that tests the breathing masks for the firefighters and as that belongs to all five county departments, an IGA was created, finalized and signed. The machine will travel to each department for its use. It was purchased through dues paid into the fire Chief's Association. -The Town of Grand Lake has donated their used Durango to our Department. We have picked it up and will be gone through to access the condition of it. -Concerning the truck grant—Tom will contact Brad White about what needs done and how to proceed as far as who will be sending in the remaining paperwork. The new truck chassis will be arriving later than expected and therefore the truck will not come to us until May or June. This does effect our timeline for finishing out the grant.
