INTRODUCTION When a stick of lipstick is broken, instead of throwing it away and having to buy a new one, you can easily repair it. This guide will teach you how to put two pieces of a broken lipstick back together so it is usable again. This repair will take 20 minutes of work time and an hour of waiting time.

Step 1 — How To Fix a Broken Lipstick



Prepare a clean working space.



Use a gloved hand and separate the broken off piece of the lipstick from the rest of the tube (only if it is not a clean break).

Twist the base so that the lipstick is fully visible.

Use the toothpick to clean and level both ends of the broken lipstick.

Step 4



Hold a flame over both ends of the lipstick for 2 seconds, or until a top layer is melted.

 Use caution when working with an open flame and always be aware of your surroundings.

Press the ends of the broken pieces back together.



Using a flame, melt the pieces together to form a bond.
