Using THE CLEANING NINJA 8 Minute Method MINUTE 1: MAKE THE HOUSE SMELL PRETTY A house that smells clean, feels clean! Keep some scented wax, candles or other air spray you enjoy on hand to freshen you home. The way your house smells will definitely make a difference. If you only have time for one thing, do this!
MINUTE 2: CLEAR THE KITCHEN COUNTERS
Clean counters make all the difference! Thow out all the trash, put dishes in the dishwasher or just throw dirty dishes in a soap-filled sink to look like you are working on them, and pop all the paper clutter, mail, etc. in an extra basket or bin.
MINUTE 3: CLEAR THE KITCHEN TABLE A clean kitchen table is the perfect place to sit and chat with your guests. Clear it off and wipe it down. Use the tips from the kitchen counters to make sure the kitchen table is nice and clean. Your whole room will look instantly cleaner!
MINUTE 4: CLEAR THE JUNK FROM THE LIVING ROOM If you have dirty dishes, set them by the door first. You’ll grab those last as you leave the room and run them to the soapy sink. Then grab all the toys, blankets, shoes and put away everything you can. Later you can toss a blanket over the couch or straighten a cushion when your guests arrive.
MINUTE 5: SWITCH OUT THE BATHROOM HAND TOWEL Grab the old hand towel and use it to do a quick wipe down of your bathroom surfaces. Then grab a new one and hang it up for your guests. If you don’t have a clean hand towel ready, just grab a full size towel and lay it on the edge of the sink.
MINUTE 6: QUICK SCRUB THE TOILET Grab some soap, any type will do and quickly scrub your toilet. Wipe down the seat and surfaces of the toilet with a bit of toilet paper working from the cleanest area to the dirtiest. Toss it in the toilet bowl and you’re done!
MINUTE 7: DUST ALL SURFACES
Grab your duster if you have one or use a soft cloth to hit the dusty surfaces. Start with the dark areas first because they show dust the worst. It’s amazing how removing a little dust can brighten up the space!
MINUTE 8: WIPE THINGS DOWN
Grab two or three damp clothes and wipe down all the surfaces that the guests might physically touch. Get rid of all the sticky places on the table, chairs or coffee table. Then move on to a few favorite, pretty objects. A few shiny things will draw the eye and distract from any other untidiness!
