Step 1 — How to Turn Off the Haas VF2



Hose down the machine 

Make sure the coolant valves on the inside of the machine are off



Make sure a tool/holder is in the spindle so no coolant enters spindle



Turn on the COOLNT



Make sure the valve on the hose (at rear of machine) is turned on



Bring the hose around to the front or side of the machine



Spray, making sure chips are cleared off fixture and machine elements and forced into the trough below

Step 2 

OPTIONAL



Press CHIP FWD to grind the chips



Run for 5-10 seconds



Press CHIP STOP to end the grinding



Remove the tool from the spindle when finished flushing chips



Use the hand jog to center the weight of the table/vise on x and y axes to ensure weight balance on the ways



Find the "Emergency Stop" button.



Push in the "Emergency Stop" button.



The screen will now display an alarm and the light will flash red, this is normal.

Step 5 

Find the "Power Off" button.



Press the "Power Off" button.



The machine will power down.



Pull out the Emergency Stop button so that the machine is ready to be turned back on.
