Creating an Invoice from a Purchase Order
To “flip” the Purchase Order into an Invoice simply click the “Create Invoice” button

Auto-transfer of PO details to the invoice
Do NOT change the recipient during PO flip as it will fail validation . The Invoice should be issued to the same HSBC entity from which the PO was raised and forwarded

Details, such as Purchase Order Number, Quantity, Description, UOM, currency are copied from the PO and are used to create the invoice.
Enriching the Invoice Invoice Number
Once all the required fields are complete you can Preview the invoice or Send it

You may add up to 4 attachments of 3Mb each in one of the following formats Jpeg, Tiff, BMP, PNG, img, pdf.
Real time validation of invoice information
Tradeshift will highlight any corrections you need to make before sending the document

Further validation against the Purchase Order From January 2018 , HSBC is introducing further matching and validation against open purchase orders
Invoices which fail validation against the corresponding PO will show as “FAILED DELIVERY”. Click on the document to view the error messages

Carry out further corrections before resubmitting
Tradeshift will again highlight any corrections you need to make before re-submitting the document
