INTRODUCTION This guide will instruct step-by-step how to disassemble the P8 Lite and replace the earpiece speaker. A breakdown kit and a replacement earpiece speaker will be required. Review the device Teardown Guide to get started.

TOOLS: Phillips #000 Screwdriver (1) SIM Card Eject Tool (1) Spudger (1) T5 Torx Screwdriver (1) Tweezers (1)

Step 1 — Loudspeaker



Open the back case with the Spudger tool. Start about one-inch to the right of the headphone jack and gently pry the back-cover of the phone. Make sure to pry the entire perimeter of the backcover to prevent bending/cracking of the plastic.



Tools used: Spudger tool (used as a wedge to pry back-cover and loudspeaker)

Use screwdriver from 54 Bit Driver Kit in order to remove screws from the loudspeaker. The silver screws are compatible with a PH000 Bit. Be sure to separate the screws to avoid confusion.



Tools used: PH000 Bit + T5 Torx Screwdriver from the 54 Bit Driver Kit (PH000 Bit fits within the T5 Torx screwdriver)

Step 3



Use Spudger tool to gently lift loudspeaker from phone. The loudspeaker is the entire portion of the phone where the screws were extracted. Replace the loudspeaker with the new one, and reassemble the phone in reverse order.

Step 4 — Earpiece Speaker



Use Tweezers to grip earpiece speaker and lift out from phone. Insert replacement earpiece speaker into slot.
