IM EUCHRE RULES These are the official rules for intramural Euchre at Ferris State University. General policies and all official sport rules can be found on the sports page on the UREC website.

Rule 1: Facility and Equipment Article 1. Facility – University Recreation Center: Room 114 a) Ferris State Intramural Sports has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol, tobacco, or any other drug at intramural events. Furthermore, Intramural Sports staff reserves the right to remove participants or fans suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The removal process may involve the assistance of authorities such as Ferris State DPS or a member of the Big Rapids Police Department. Article 2. Equipment a) Cards will be provided by the intramural sports department. b) Teams cannot bring their own cards.
Rule 2: Eligibility Article 1. Eligibility a) Ferris State students, staff, and faculty are allowed to participate in IM Sports. b) NO ID, NO PLAY. NO EXCEPTIONS! All players must present their own personal FSU ID card before every game in order to participate. c) If you are caught trying to use someone else’s ID, your team will forfeit that game, and the other person will need to come to the UREC office the following day to retrieve his/her ID. d) Each team should be signed up on IM Leagues before the start of the contest. Rule 3: The Game Article 1. Partners a) Teams will consist of two partners. b) There is absolutely no table talk during Euchre. If at any time a team is caught table talking, the current hand will be over, and the other team will receive two points. c) If the same team is caught twice, they will be eliminated from the tournament.
IM EUCHRE RULES Article 2. Rules of the Game a) The first team to reach 10 points will win that game. b) Each tournament will be double elimination style bracket. c) There will be no farmers in Euchre. The rule “screw the dealer” will be applied. d) The dealer must offer a cut to the person on their right. e) The dealer must deal the cards twice around the table. They can hand out any combination of cards as long as they go around the table twice. f) All Euchres are worth 2 points. g) All loners are worth 4 points. h) A misdeal will result in losing your turn to deal the cards. A misdeal will happen when the dealer flips over the trump card and players either have too many cards or not enough. It will not be a misdeal if the dealer catches this mistake before they flip the card over
