Full time immigrant construction workers in West Texas make more than their Texan counterparts. However, immigrants in management, business, science, and arts occupations make more in Texas than West Texas. The immigrants in West Texas tend to be older (as the median age is higher in this area than near larger urban areas). This may be indicative of the larger proportion of immigrants of working age. It is important to note the differences in occupational groups between West Texas and the rest of Texas.
