In 2008, Fairfield County Youth Baseball Association organized an All-Star team known as the FCYBA Warhawks. Our goal is to give select athletes a taste of travel baseball without incurring the costs associated. We started in 2008 with one team representing FCYBA. This year we hope to send an 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U team to the tournaments. Select athletes from FCYBA will compete in post season Cal Ripken Tournaments. Practices will usually be held on Sunday Evenings at our ballpark. Being a Warhawk will not interfere with the athlete’s rec. league team. Warhawks will compete in the Ohio Cal Ripken District Tournament. If they advance they will then compete in the Ohio Cal Ripken State Tournament. This will continue into Regionals and eventually the World Series. In 2014, we will be pioneering a new 13U Warhawk team who will compete in the Central Ohio Youth Baseball League (the teams in this league are all travel baseball teams). We will play in COYBL but our main goal is to compete and win the Babe Ruth Tournament (after age 12 you are no longer in Cal Ripken). Being a Warhawk is an honor, a privilege that will be earned. Warhawks pride themselves as being something special on and off the field. If you think you have what it takes to be a Warhawk, please come to our try outs on April 6th. There is more information about the try outs on our Important Dates board.
